International SOS has over 30 years of experience in South Africa and supports subscribers in the sub-Saharan Africa region through its 24/7 Assistance Center located in Johannesburg. Staffed by medical and security experts, the Assistance Center can be reached in case of emergencies, crisis, or for advice. Our team also supports the coordination of patient movement via air ambulance.  

The Johannesburg office also serves as our regional medical services center, offering medical and operational support to our teams across Africa.  Our Response Center, providing support to client project sites in the region, is also located within the same premises. 

The International SOS regional training center, also situated in the Johannesburg office, is an authorized training center for the American Heart Association (AHA) and offers a range of emergency care trainings, based on our clients' needs.  

The Johannesburg office also hosts one of the Group's MedAire platforms, providing health and security assistance to airlines and maritime crews.
