Supporting Employees in Ukraine and Bordering Countries

Due to the scale and nature of the Russian military build-up in areas bordering Ukraine, the decreasing likelihood of a diplomatic compromise, the potential for a rapid escalation into conflict and the current availability of evacuation options, International SOS made the decision on February 12th to increase our evacuation level for Ukraine to full evacuation.

Following the start of military action in Ukraine, our advice for employees who remain in-country is ‘stand fast’ in a secure location. The situation remains highly fluid with martial law introduced nationwide.

For clients with operations in Ukraine, our advice is to be prepared to stand fast in a secure location for at least 72 hours. If not in a secure location, to take shelter in the nearest protected space and to monitor for further official announcements. We further advise employees to abide by official directives, including those on emergency procedures and to remain apprised of the latest developments via verified sources. These include International SOS alerts, diplomatic missions, and local contacts, and to not act upon unverified information.

We encourage clients to sign up for our latest Ukraine alerts via email, through the Assistance App, or via our Online Portal.
