International SOS is continuing to closely monitor the situation amid tsunami warnings following a magnitude 8.8 offshore earthquake east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (Kamchatka region, Russia) on 30 July. According to the US Geological Survey, the temblor struck at 23.24 (local time) at a depth of 12.9 miles (20.7km). Tsunami warnings have been issued across the Pacific.
