International SOS is expanding its medical services delivery capabilities in the United States through the evolution of its collaboration with Prime Occupational Medicine (Prime).
Building on a successful 10-year strategic Joint Venture Partnership with Prime Occupational Medicine, International SOS North America Medical Services Holdings, Inc. signed a commitment to acquire Prime’s Medical services ‘projects’ business. The newly formed subsidiary, International SOS Healthcare Services U.S., will assume operational oversight and delivery of all on-site and remote support for offshore customers, and many onshore customers, in the US.
The purchase is expected to be finalised towards the end of November. The business will then operate as Prime Healthcare Solutions, an International SOS Company.
A decade ago, International SOS and Prime developed a strategic Joint Venture Partnership to collaborate on the delivery of occupational medicine services throughout the US. The evolution of this collaboration will greatly enhance the ability of both International SOS and Prime to deepen customer engagement.

They will also continue to collaborate to ensure the full range of occupational services are available to both onshore and offshore customers. This includes having access to Prime’s occupational medicine clinics for offsite occupational health services.
Prime was founded in 1994 to deliver the highest quality of medical care to industrial workers. The company’s services evolved into occupational medicine alongside a name change to Prime Occupational Medicine in 2002. By 2018, Prime was the largest occupational medicine provider in the US Gulf of Mexico region with multiple clinical sites across several states.
