Access to Healthcare for Business Travellers

Overloaded healthcare systems, backlog in treatment, long wait times for doctor appointments – both domestic and international news are filled with these or similar distressing reports. It becomes particularly challenging when you find yourself in a foreign country, unfamiliar with the healthcare system and unable to speak the local language. On the other hand, there's the employer's Duty of Care and the competition for workforce.

The topic of "Access to Healthcare" is now making its way into HR departments, especially for employees who are on business trips or assignments abroad.

For nearly 40 years, International SOS has been supporting companies and their employees travelling abroad in matters of medical and safety concerns worldwide. In the web meeting on October 5, 2023, from 10 to 11 AM, Dr. Stefan Eßer, Medical Director Central Europe, and Dr. Paul Schymanski, Deputy Medical Director Frankfurt Assistance Center, will share their observations and how companies can prepare, with the assistance of International SOS.

The following points will be addressed during the web meeting:

1. The employer's Duty of Care
2. Aspects of occupational safety laws and occupational medical precautionary regulations
3. Differences between international travel health insurance and assistance
4. What happens on business trips – case examples from everyday assistance scenarios
5. How can companies and travellers prepare, and how can International SOS provide support?

If you have any questions in advance that you would like us to address during the web meeting, please feel free to email us at germany@internationalsos.com.

We look forward to your message and your participation in the webinar.
