Jake Abel is the Security Manager, Assistance at International SOS. He has over 20 years of experience working on geopolitical, security and intelligence issues to support the US Government (Legislative and Executive branches), as well as clients in the private sector.
Before joining Internationals SOS, Jake managed Executive Protection teams supporting client security requirements on a global scale. Prior to that experience, he served as a Director for Country Intelligence and contributed to timely articles on events in the Middle East.
In the public sector, Jake served as an Intelligence Officer with the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Joint Intelligence Task Force – Combating Terrorism (JITF-CT) where he was a subject matter expert on Iran’s support to terrorism. He began his career on Capitol Hill, where he worked as a Foreign Policy Assistant for the Office of the Speaker, before serving as a Professional Staff Member for the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI).
