Bernadette Alway joined International SOS as Security Director for the Americas, bringing a distinguished background in national security and risk management.
In her current role, she partners with organizations across sectors, ranging from government agencies to global corporations and NGOs, to help them navigate complex travel and security challenges and operate safely around the world.
Prior to her current role, Bernadette spent 21 years with the FBI, where she built deep expertise in complex criminal enterprise investigations, crisis management, security operations, and strategic partnerships. Bernadette held assignments in the Chicago, Jackson, Los Angeles, and New York FBI offices, as well as leadership roles at FBI Headquarters in Washington, DC. In her most recent assignment as a Supervisory Special Agent in New York, she led security efforts for high-profile special events and strengthened collaboration with the private sector by supervising Domestic Security Alliance Council and InfraGard programs. Her career also included extensive work in counterintelligence and Weapons of Mass Destruction programs, while also serving an international assignment as a Legal Attaché in Kazakhstan.
A proven leader in complex security operations, Bernadette is known for her commitment to building strong public-private partnerships to protect people, assets, and infrastructure globally. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and an MBA from Penn State University.
