Global Health and International Development

HUMAN TOUCH, GLOBAL REACH

International SOS partners with governments, private companies, multi-lateral organisations and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to deliver and support improved outcomes in public health programmes through direct service delivery, systems strengthening and capacity building across the globe. Together, we achieve targeted community-based and nation-wide health impact, mitigate health and security risks, drive localisation and overcome intricate medical and public health challenges in complex environments.

Our Global infrastructure together with our pandemic preparedness teams have provided critical support since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic by complementing in-country response infrastructures, deploying isolation rooms and assisting stakeholders in the global health response efforts. Through our MedSupply division, we have a broad experience in sourcing and delivering everything from PPE and medical consumables, oxygen production and advanced hospital equipment as well as supplying and installing temporary, mobile and permanent healthcare facilities.

With a network of dedicated medical professionals and public health experts delivering proven solutions, we operate in:

  • 850

    Remote Sites

  • 90

    Countries Where We Operate

  • 4800+

    Medical Professionals

This global footprint of offices and clinics ensures International SOS is positioned to deliver integrated health services in the most difficult places. We are actively driving equitable and sustainable access to care by using many of our private clients’ projects as a springboard to build local capacity serving the surrounding communities.

Can the Private Sector Help Shape the Future of Global Health?

Following our World Health Assembly 78 side event, the white paper “The Power of Partnerships: Is there a Wider Private Sector Role in Achieving the Global Health Agenda?” explores how businesses can move beyond funding roles to become strategic partners in building resilient health systems.

With 90% of LMIC populations employed in private enterprises, the private sector is no longer peripheral, it’s pivotal.

The paper offers fresh insights and practical strategies for navigating public–private collaboration, addressing challenges like misaligned incentives, fragmented data, and short-term financing.

Download the white paper to explore how trust-based, co-created partnerships can drive lasting impact.
