Owen Morton

Owen Morton is the Regional Security Partner for Australia and New Zealand at International SOS, bringing over 20 years of global Defence, intelligence, and public sector leadership to the role. As an Intelligence Officer in the Australian Army, Owen served in combat roles and deployed on humanitarian, disaster response, regional security, contingency planning, and strategic advisory operations. Owen joined the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and served as a diplomat in Afghanistan, Iraq, and the United Arab Emirates. Owen has held executive leadership roles across the national intelligence community and has led operations focused on counter-terrorism, kidnap for ransom, threat finance, strategic military relations, and transnational crime.

Before joining International SOS, Owen advised the Department of the Prime Minister & Cabinet on national resilience and crisis preparedness, and established the Department of Defence’s cyber intelligence capability. Owen leverages his depth of strategic knowledge and insight across the security domain to inform and support the needs of clients facing complex and dynamic security challenges.
