David is the Security Director, Assistance and Information and Analysis – Australasia & Pacific for International SOS, responsible for directing and leading the day-to-day activities of the Sydney-based International SOS Security team.
In this role David is responsible for delivering market leading security incident management, advisory and crisis response services in the region, in addition to overseeing support to the global service delivery capability. David manages the security assistance delivery, including advice through to interventional assistance, in partnership with Operations leadership, for clients, globally. David is also responsible for delivering market leading security Information and Analysis reporting across the spectrum of high-priority threat to life alerts through to long-term forecasting and analysis.
David served as a British Royal Marine Commando from 2005 - 2010, thereafter working as a Team Leader for five years deploying with multinational security teams to train, audit and escort crews and maritime assets through the Red Sea, Bab el Mandeb, Gulf of Aden and east coast of Africa. His last position in Africa was as part of the close protection team responsible for the safety and security of the US Ambassador in Johannesburg. Since moving to Australia he’s worked as a National Operations Manager for an Australian security provider and as the APAC Physical Security Specialist for a cyber security organisation based out of the US.
