With WHO’s recommendation to roll-out the RTS,S malaria vaccine in 2021, and other vaccine in trials, there is hope that African countries will soon follow the path of countries like China and Argentina to become malaria-free. Besides the availability of a vaccine, the efficient roll-out of the vaccination campaigns will also determine its success.
