Paulina Bouchot is a human security analyst with a background in economics and research on inequality and poverty. She currently serves as Lead Security Analyst for the Andean and Caribbean countries in South America at International SOS, a global leader in health and security risk services. Over the last nearly five years, she has worked across the company’s teams in Mexico, Philadelphia, and Sydney, developing expertise in geopolitical intelligence, crisis response, and regional risk monitoring.
Originally from Pachuca, Hidalgo, a small city north of Mexico City, Paulina moved to the capital to pursue a degree in Economics. She began her professional career as a consultant specializing in poverty, inequality, and public policy evaluation, with a particular focus on gender perspectives and social development.
In 2022, she transitioned into the field of human security, first joining International SOS as a Security Specialist. She later became part of the Global Threat Monitoring Center in Sydney, working within a diverse team of subject matter experts from around the world. In April 2026, she returned to Mexico to assume her current role as Lead Analyst, where she has led analysis on major developments including elections in Peru and Colombia, civil unrest in Bolivia, and the response to Venezuela’s 2026 earthquake crisis.
