Dr Lars Petersen

Dr Petersen joined International SOS in 2007. Prior to this, he worked for a number of multinational health agencies notably The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, various Dutch NGOs, Medecins sans Frontieres and several universities. With more than 25 years’ experience as a health consultant in general, tropical and international medicine, he has been a guest lecturer at several medical institutions and universities and has published a number of articles on infectious diseases in Dutch and international medical journals.
Dr Petersen is a practising General Practitioner in The Netherlands, and occasionally in Norway, and has previous GP experience in the Dutch Antilles, Zambia and Kenya. Dr Petersen graduated from Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Netherlands as a Medical Doctor and later obtained an MSc in Global Health Policies from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
