About the Webinar
On 17 May, the World Health Organization declared the current Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Uganda a public health emergency of international concern.
So far, there have been above 240 suspected cases and 80 suspected deaths from the virus. The outbreak began in Ituri province and has been detected elsewhere in the DRC, and in Uganda. The WHO states that the high positivity rate and increasing number of cases and deaths, point towards a potential larger outbreak.
Our health experts are monitoring the situation closely since the beginning of the outbreak.
