Peter Weller

Peter Weller is the Security Director for the Netherlands at International SOS. He has a broad international background spanning consulting, corporate security, and multilateral organisations. He has delivered strategic programmes across both public and private sectors, with a focus on enabling security that supports people and drives business performance.

Peter’s consulting experience includes work with Control Risks, where he advised global clients on complex risk environments. At ASML, he delivered data-driven security programmes that integrated risk intelligence into operational decision-making. As Global Travel Security Manager at Henkel, he led a global transformation of the company’s travel risk management system—embedding resilience, awareness, and culture change at scale.

Earlier in his career, Peter contributed to a strategic risk reduction initiative in Shell Retail, reducing incidents across a 2,500-site network by aligning security measures with commercial objectives. He also spent nine months in Ukraine with NATO as a special relations analyst (RUS–UKR) supporting SHAPE, and held key roles at Europol, providing liaison and host nation support and serving in the Management Board Secretariat.

Peter brings a blend of field experience and strategic insight, with particular strengths in security strategy, awareness, and culture change. He holds an advanced degree in Crisis and Security Management from Leiden University in the Netherlands.
