Mark Wolsey

As a graduate in Philosophy, Mark served for 25 years as an officer in the Royal Marines, seeing commando service globally, spending much of his time planning and taking part in counter-terrorist operations and intelligence.
On leaving military service, he was appointed as Chief Security Officer in Smiths Group, a FTSE-100 company, followed by similar jobs in Cadbury, Philipp Morris International, PwC and most recently CRH, the global building materials company.
During this time, Mark has been directly involved in most global crises, conflicts and natural disasters that have taken place and is highly experienced in all aspects of resilience and problem solving, including crisis planning and response. He has global corporate security experience and his innovative and adaptable approach, has demonstrated on numerous occasions the real “value add” in the function. He is a proponent of the intelligence driven approach to security and has always enjoyed a close relationship as a trusted advisor to the executive teams and boards in the companies he has worked for.
Most recently Mark has been intimately involved in the Ukraine crisis, having first visited the country during the Maidan uprising in 2014, to develop and implement the appropriate crisis and evacuation plans. He has been and continues to be a regular visitor to Ukraine ever since then and especially so since the full-scale invasion by Russia in 2022.
