Overview
A decades-old manufacturing concern with 100 Ohio-based employees was breaking into new markets for its products in India. That was going to require some of its personnel, including the CEO and top sales leadership, to travel regularly. Having been confined to just domestic travel for many years, the organization reached out to International SOS for an affordable solution to keep its travelers healthy, safe and prepared.
Solution
The company’s human resources officer, who was familiar with International SOS from a prior role, received an instant quote via the Small Business Travel Risk Management website, which combines International SOS services with insurance coverage by Zurich American Insurance Company. The solution includes medical and security assistance (including medical and security evacuation if needed), financial protection including insurance covering spouses and children, and full access to general assistance via the International SOS App.
Impact
Prior to the first trip, the solution was rolled out to the company’s travelers, who were required to download the App and sign up for medical and security alerts. Employees felt well-prepared for their initial trip, with a good handle on what kinds of transportation and hotels were safe, as well as how best to keep from getting sick.
