Overview

International SOS partnered with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to support Quezon City by conducting a rapid health risk assessment of the City’s Pandemic Response.

Problem

Quezon City, the Philippines’ most populous city with three million citizens, and the second richest city in the country after Makati City, wanted to strengthen its pandemic response plan to protect its working staff and citizens.

Solution

International SOS partnered with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to support Quezon City by conducting a rapid health risk assessment of the City’s Pandemic Response. This six-week project involved International SOS subject matter experts working closely with city health officials to assess the City’s COVID-19 vaccine and testing programmes, analyse areas for enhancement and propose solutions aimed at future proofing the City's vaccination strategy and testing facilities.

Impact

Quezon City, under the leadership of Mayor Joy Belmote appreciated the team for the medically-driven assessment. International SOS in turn recognised Mayor Joy and her team’s efforts in strengthening the City’s pandemic response.
