How Axis Communications Delivers Duty of Care with International SOS
Updated

Axis Communications is a security technology company headquartered in Sweden, with more than 5000 employees across 50 countries. Since 2013, they have worked with International SOS to deliver a Duty of Care program for their traveling workforce.
We visited Nathalie Elgström, Travel Manager at Axis, to hear her thoughts on the partnership.
Taking care of staff wherever they are
Nathalie's role as Travel Manager means that she works closely with a network of travel, insurance, and assistance providers – including International SOS. Each partner plays an important role in the company’s global travel program. Together, they deliver the services that Nathalie uses to ensure a smooth and safe travel experience for every Axis employee.
Building trust and a long-term partnership
The partnership between Axis and International SOS is well established, says Nathalie, and fully integrated into their Duty of Care approach.
As an assistance provider, International SOS operates a 24/7 hotline that Axis employees can call to request help. Typically, this assistance takes the form of medical support, such as referring travelling staff to vetted clinics. That way the staff can feel confident in receiving health support even when they don’t speak the local language or are unfamiliar with the healthcare system in that country.
Staying ahead in a rapidly changing world
With the world changing quickly, Nathalie highlights how important it is to have global partners who can stay ahead of the evolving risk landscape. Axis employees use the pre-trip advisories that International SOS provides to ensure they are prepared before they leave the office.
