Robert Villamor is a Security Manager - Asia (Information & Analysis/Assistance) at International SOS based in Manila. He is a certified security professional with over 20 years of experience in the military, international organisations, diplomatic missions, and corporate security. He has extensive experience in intelligence and analysis, crisis management, physical security, security management, investigations, training, government liaison and policy development.

In his current role, apart from his Information & Analysis and Security Assistance roles, he also engages clients and other external stakeholders in support of International SOS’ commercial agenda in the Philippines and the wider region as the country security subject matter expert.

Robert has comprehensive training in intelligence and analysis, disaster response and incident/crisis management, security management, security training, security management and other related subject matters.

Following active duty in the Philippine Marine Corps where he was primarily engaged in supporting internal security, counterinsurgency, and counterterrorism operations, he worked for 11 years with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) – the UN Migration Agency in various roles within the UN security management system (e.g., intelligence and analysis, security operations, training, field security) in both headquarters and field settings. He was posted in various locations like the Philippines, Thailand, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, Kenya, Sudan, South Africa, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Turkey, Pakistan, the UK, and the US. His last post with IOM was as the Field Security Officer in Pakistan. He then went on doing security consulting for the private sector in the Philippines. He afterwards assumed the role of Post Security Manager of the British Embassy Manila for three years prior to joining International SOS in 2021.
