International SOS is hosting an afternoon of crisis simulation exercises and panel discussions designed to hone your skills as a travel risk management leader in higher education. The event is free, but registration is required. The session will be hosted at the New York headquarters of the Institute of International Education (IIE).
The day will start with a simulation exercise in crisis response. Led by our Medical and Security Experts, you will be guided through a simulation exercise while learning more about how to utilize best practices and risk mitigation strategies. If you’re wondering whether this is the right event for you, ask yourself these questions:
Would I know what to do if there was a major security incident overseas and I couldn’t contact my staff members traveling there?
How would I support my staff overseas to respond to such an incident?
Am I prepared to quickly collect and communicate accurate information inside and outside my organization if an incident occurred?
Finally, a panel of experts will discuss the latest International SOS Foundation whitepaper, Out in the World, which highlights the evolving challenges faced by universities in managing risks. It also offers practical tools and case studies designed to support institutions around the world at all levels of the Duty of Care journey.
