International SOS is assisting impacted clients in Kenya due to protests and unrest. Countrywide protests have been ongoing since 18 June due to opposition to new legislation proposed by the government. Despite a police ban on large-scale gatherings, they have occurred in Nairobi, Eldoret (Usain Gishu county), Kisumu (Kisumu county), Mombasa (Mombasa county), Nanyuki (Laikipia county) and other urban centres. Whilst some protests have passed off peacefully, there have been cases of violent unrest and use of forcible measures by security forces.
