International SOS Foundation launches new Mental Health & The Remote Rotational Worker Symposium
Additional dates also announced for Duty of Care and Sustainability Training.
The International SOS Foundation has launched a new symposium for those with a Duty of Care for their remote rotational workforce. Focusing on the latest ground-breaking insights into the mental health of this unique workforce, the symposium is designed to help organisations make evidence-based adjustments and recommendations to protect and promote mental health in this type of working arrangement.
Following high demand for its Duty of Care and Sustainability training, the International SOS Foundation has also announced additional dates for its certified virtual training courses in these areas. The sessions are created for managers tasked with protecting the health, wellbeing and safety of their employees to achieve their Duty of Care responsibilities and Sustainability goals.
Each course is held in small groups with international participants to maximise the learning and potential networking opportunities.
Mental Health & the Remote Rotational Worker Symposium
This new virtual symposium focuses on the latest ground-breaking insight in mental health of the remote rotational workforce. This 3-hour session is designed to enable stakeholders who have a duty of care to their rotational workforce make evidence-based adjustments and recommendations to their employees to protect and promote mental health in this type of working arrangement. For many organisations, this has become an even greater urgency in the current COVID-19 environment, which has put increased pressure on a working format already recognised as having a high level of stress.

Duty of Care Training
The “Duty of Care Training” course provides occupational safety and health practitioners with the knowledge and skills necessary to actively participate in the management of safe, healthy and security of their workforce. These activities include reviewing risk assessments, developing and implementing briefings, building organisational directives, participating as a member of an organisation’s incident management team and action planning. It will be facilitated by Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded with a certificate from the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
There are currently three Duty of Care courses available, each taking place over five half days: Americas Sessions (8 - 12 March and 10 - 14 May) and Asia Session (22 - 26 March). Maximum class size is 16 participants.
Sustainability Management & Reporting for the Occupational Health & Safety Practitioner
The “Sustainability Management & Reporting for the Occupational Health & Safety Practitioner" training provides the understanding necessary to integrate workforce health & safety management and monitoring into an organisation’s sustainability strategies and reporting, in accordance with international standards. It will be facilitated by Louis Wustemann, writer and editor on environment and health & safety for over 20 years, and former editor of Health & Safety at Work and IOSH Magazine. Participants will receive a CPD accreditation upon successful completion.
There are currently three Sustainability training courses available, each taking place over two half days: Americas Session (23 & 25 February), EMEA Session (2&4 March), and APAC Session (13 & 15 April). Max class size is 10 participants.
