Yoshiro Fukuma
Regional Security Director, Asia
Yoshiro is currently the Regional Security Director, for Asia at International SOS. In this role, he manages a team of over 50 Asia Pacific security professionals drawn from across Asia region and with backgrounds in operational intelligence, the military, policing and analysis. Yoshiro also drives and manages the sales support and delivery of travel advisory and Workforce Resilience security consulting services for clients across the region.
Yoshiro joined International SOS as Regional Security Manager, Japan based in Tokyo in September 2012. He drives the operational, information and security consulting function in Japan as well as wider regional support for Japanese clients and supports the sale of security services in Japan and Japanese language security desk. Yoshiro also provides general operational and intelligence support to the APAC Regional Security Centre and supported crisis response operations including the deployment to Algeria as the Incident Management Team lead for a major security incident in January 2013.
In September 2013, Yoshiro was promoted to the position of Security Director, Japan & Korea. While he still maintains his previous responsibilities, it is then extended to the management and oversight of security service delivery and sales support in Korea.
Prior to this role, Yoshiro worked for Strategic Partners Japan Ltd as Director in business development and human resource consulting before which he worked as Deputy Director and Business Development Consultant at a consulting company in Paris, France supporting customers business operations in Europe and in Africa. Prior to his commercial experience, Yoshiro served for five years in the French Foreign Legion, second Foreign Parachute Regiment including overseas missions in the former Yugoslavia and in West and Central Africa.
Utilising his capability of speaking Japanese, English and French, Yoshiro works closely with security specialists and consultants around the world to provide security advices, deliver security trainings and consulting for the clients and drives actual cases all over the world.
