Security Manager, Northern Europe
Jakob is a Security Manager for Northern Europe at International SOS. He is responsible for supporting clients and delivering bespoke security services to the region’s diverse client base. Leveraging his expertise and experience from working across Africa and the Middle East, Jakob advises on best practice in terms of policies, procedures, and plans. On both strategic, operational and tactic levels. Recently also leveraging his expertise on leadership and governance in crises and high-risk locations, to clients.
Jakob started with International SOS in March 2021, following almost 20 years in the Danish Defense and 10 years as security and crisis management consultant. Also counting seven deployments to the Middle East. Prior to joining International SOS, Jakob worked as Intelligence Officer, Chief Advisor and Hostage Expert in the Danish Defence.
Prior to his role as Intelligence Officer and Chief Adviser for the Hostage Office, he served as 2nd in command for the Close Protection team at the Royal Danish Embassy in Bagdad, Iraq and as Military Police Officer in Helman, Afghanistan and Basra, Iraq, training and monitoring local police.
Jakob is a graduate from the Royal Danish Military Academy as Officer, with the rank of Captain and in Culture as operative enabler.
