Welcome to Georgetown University's Global Assistance Program

Georgetown University contracts with International SOS to provide worldwide medical, travel, and security assistance and evacuation services for all students, faculty and staff participating in University related international travel.  International SOS offers 24-hour emergency services, as well as online information on safety and security, public health issues, medical referrals, and vaccination requirements for individual countries.

 Travel Registration

International SOS services supplement and integrate with the University’s emergency procedures and travel registration enables the University to proactively contact travelers and provide support in the event of an emergency. There are two ways to register your travel:

1. Reservations confirmed and ticketed through Georgetown Travel Online, DNATA, SkyBird or Anthony Travel are automatically registered with Georgetown University and International SOS.

2. Travel can also be registered manually by forwarding your travel itinerary to MyTrips@travelsecurity.com.  You will need to create a MyTrips profile before you forward your itinerary for the first time.  You can setup or update your MyTrips profile by clicking here.  Please make sure to set up your MyTrips username by using your Georgetown email address.   Trip confirmation emails will be sent to the email address used in your MyTrips profile.

Once registered, you will receive by email a travel advisory with useful information about the countries where you are traveling. In case of an emergency, your itinerary allows International SOS and Georgetown to determine your location and provide assistance.
