Welcome to the Brown University Global Assistance Program, providing Brown University international travelers with medical, security and travel assistance, managed and administered by International SOS. Important Federal Regulations for International Travel
  • Taking special research equipment when traveling abroad (e.g., drones, GPS, surveying systems, infared cameras, laser scanners) may require an export license depending on product type and destination. Contact Brown's Export Control Officer for assistance with export license requirements.
  • Anyone traveling to an embargoed country may be subject to Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations. These regulations affect nearly all transactions with those countries without regard to content or purpose. Contact Brown's Export Control Officer to assist with OFAC license requirements. Register a trip:

  • Log into MyTrips - if using for the first time, you will need to create a User ID and Password in order to create your secure profile

  • Enter your trip information

  • If you have a group to enroll, please contact Courtney Wuethrich, Insurance & Purchasing Specialist, to arrange for access that will permit you to enter travel information on behalf of another Brown University Traveler. 

Emergency Record: You also have the option to complete an Emergency Record prior to departure. This record allows you to create, modify and access your emergency contact list and vital personal health, vaccination and travel information online anytime, anywhere. The system also recommends appropriate vaccinations and sends you reminders when it’s time for follow-up boosters. This information will be available to you and, with your consent, ISOS medical staff, to better assist you in the event of an emergency.  You will need to set up a separate User ID and Password to use when logging into the Emergency Record site.
