International SOS manages UNH’s international travelers’ support and emergency response services. They provide 24/7 resources on call, online and on the ground to help with any medical, security and logistical questions, concerns and situations that may arise. International SOS is the world's largest medical and security assistance company, with more than 6,500 professionals in 24-hour Assistance Centers, international clinics, and remote-site medical facilities across five continents.

Take full advantage of UNH’s International SOS membership by:

  • Calling an International SOS Assistance  center, which has physicians, operations managers, and medical and security professionals on hand to speak with you. You can call collect from abroad or call toll free in the U.S

  • Preparing for your travels by browsing through the various medical and security online reports and tools

  • Signing up for alerts to receive the latest travel, health and safety information about your destinations.

  • Activating your Emergency Record, where you can store your vital personal health, vaccination and travel information securely online so you can access it anytime, anywhere. The information will be available to you and, with your consent, made available to International SOS medical staff to better assist you in the event of an emergency. The system also recommends appropriate vaccinations and sends you reminders when follow-up boosters are required.

International SOS coverage and benefits apply to faculty, staff, students, and volunteers on UNH business. These persons are covered for the official duration of the UNH-related activity 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Personal time before or after the UNH-related activity, including intermittent non-official activities, are not covered by International SOS. Individuals who utilize International SOS services while participating in personal activities such as side trips that are not sponsored by the University, may be required to reimburse the University for costs associated with the International SOS services they use. Traveling companions and family members are NOT covered under the University contract with International SOS.  Traveling companions and family members may purchase their own International SOS coverage at a 20% discount.
