Providing all MIT students, faculty, and administrators worldwide with international medical, security and travel assistance, managed and administered by International SOS. International SOS is the world's largest medical and security assistance company with 24-hour Assistance Centers, international clinics and remote-site medical facilities across five continents. International SOS is the leader in their field, ready to help you with all of your medical and security needs.

Whenever you travel away from your country of residence, make sure you have your International SOS card handy. Also make sure you review important medical and safety information about the country to which you are traveling. We encourage you to learn more about the Program Benefits and to find answers to Frequently Asked Questions.

In order to facilitate emergency responses, ensure maximum medical insurance benefits and provide necessary communication with you and your family in an emergency situation, please store your personal travel itinerary, your contact information, emergency contact information and any other pertinent information in the secure MyTrips, unless otherwise directed by your Department. With your permission, International SOS and MIT’s International SOS Administrator, or your Department, Lab or Center (DLC) administrator can access this information for the purpose of optimizing services in an emergency.

Through International SOS, you can store your vital personal health, vaccination and travel information online. That way you can access it anytime, anywhere. The information will be available to you and, with your consent, made available to International SOS medical staff to better assist you in the event of an emergency. The system also recommends appropriate vaccinations and sends you reminders when follow-up boosters are required. Click here to activate your Emergency Record.
