During the peak of the 2005 tsunami crisis, this website provided comprehensive, up-to-date information on the situation and the countries affected.

Although the affected nations are still struggling to recover from this disaster, the peak of the crisis has passed. We have, therefore, stopped updating the site daily and removed much of the up-to-the-minute information we provided throughout January 2005. This site currently details the work International SOS performed during the crisis and our subsequent fundraising efforts. 

We remain in contact with our operations personnel who have been dispatched to the areas, and our global network of alarm centers, clinics, and offices continue to monitor the situation. Please be assured that, should a major security or medical event occur in these areas, we will notify International SOS members who have subscribed to our medical alerts service via e-mail.
