International SOS and Control Risks activate crisis team in response to unrest in Mali

International SOS, the world's leading medical and security services company, and Control Risks, the world's leading global risk consultancy firm are providing advice and emergency assistance to clients who have travelers and employees in Mali.

Following a 21 March coup against President Amadou Toumani Toure's government, widespread looting and opportunistic crime has led to a breakdown in the security situation in the capital of Bamako. A crisis management team has been established at International SOS' Paris alarm center, supported by teams in London, Philadelphia and Singapore. The teams have been working to identify and communicate with affected clients, align support resources and provide assistance to members.

The security situation remains fluid. Clients and members who are affected or need evacuation support are encouraged to call one of International SOS' 27 alarm centers for assistance.
