Malaria Online Learning
Our Malaria Online Learning is an interactive online course to prepare your employees for working in a malaria-affected area.
Each year, around 30,000 travelers contract malaria. As the leading cause of death from infectious disease amongst expatriates and business travelers, International SOS evacuates between 30 to 50 severe malaria cases annually. By implementing this course, you can help reduce the chance that your employees may contract malaria and also reduce the costs associated with illness and evacuation.
The course consists of four comprehensive lessons that use interactive multimedia to maintain employee interest and enhance learning.
The course features four modules:
1. What is malaria: Information about malaria and how it's spread, common myths, and risk-taking behavior.
2. Preventing mosquito bites: Detailed and practical instructions on preventing bites indoors, outdoors and while sleeping.
3. Medication to prevent malaria: A description of medications, dosing schedules and potential side effects.
4. If you get sick: Identification of a possible case of malaria and what to do if symptoms develop.
