Profile - Arnaud Vaissié

Arnaud Vaissié is co-founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of International SOS.

After graduating from the Institute of Political Science of Paris (IEP Paris), Arnaud began his business career as a Financial Executive in France and then in the USA as head of Compass Inc. in San Francisco.

Arnaud co-founded AEA International in 1985 when he accepted the challenge of launching a new business in Asia. AEA International initially offered emergency medical services in South East Asia, servicing multi-national corporations as well as tourists. The company subsequently enjoyed rapid growth in Asia, the United States and in Europe.

In July 1998, AEA International acquired International SOS Assistance and the group was renamed International SOS.

With 25-years spent abroad, Arnaud Vaissié brings a wealth of experience in international affairs and the challenges facing global organizations. He is Chairman of the French Chamber of Commerce in the UK and has co-founded a think-tank, Le Cercle d’Outre-Manche, which looks at competitive issues among European Union members. He has also co-authored a book called L’Université et la Recherche: Moteurs de la création d’entreprise which outlines a profound shift that would enable France to boost the most innovative sectors of its economy.

Arnaud Vaissié is a member of the Legion of Honor. In 2009 Mr Vaissié was honored as Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year from Singapore.
